Important Message from Gil

Dear L and OV-L members,

Below is the link to the new website, it also appears at the bottom of each message you receive.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/meditech-l

Please take the time to go to the website and give yourself a password so you can control your subscription. This link takes you to the subscriber's page. At the bottom of the page is a section MEDITECH-L SUBSCRIBERS. Here you enter your E-mail address into the EDIT OPTIONS and click on the button.

You will then be taken to another page with several options:

  • Unsubscribe
  • Change your password
  • Disable Mail delivery. This will suspend your subscription while on vacation. You no longer have to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the list when you are on vacation. The rest of us that did not go on vacation don't get your out of office message.
  • Set Digest Mode. This will allow you to receive the digest option, which is one e-mail message daily with all the messages from the day in it. This is one option that several people have requested.
  • Get MIME or Plain Text
  • Receive your post to the list
  • Receive acknowledgment that your message has been read. This would send you a message for each of the 2000+ members to let you know that they got your message. You may not want to choose this option unless you have a death wish.

If you have questions please contact one of our List Managers

What is the MEDITECH-L list?

The MEDITECH-L list is an internet mailing list for the MEDITECH user and vendor community. The list was started by Joe Lapolito formerly of UMass Medical Center and Ziplink. As of April 21, 1998 the list was transferred to Gil Arnold and Prosonic. The list is free. All you need is an email account. There is no charge to join and use the list. For those of you unfamiliar with a mailing list, its like a bulletin board. Members post messages via email to "the list" and then the message is sent to all the other users on the list. You can reply to postings by sending responses to "the list" or directly to the user who posted the message to the list. The MEDITECH-L list is not connected in any official way with Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH).

Can you search the list postings?

I'm glad you asked. As of now, the answer is yes. We have built an archive of list postings that is fairly complete along with a basic text search engine. The search capability is the same as before. Search MEDITECH-L Archives.
