Archiving and Scanning

IatriScan allows users throughout the hospital to move to a paperless environment by quickly and easily scanning documents into the MEDITECH system. Once documents have been scanned, they are immediately available for access by business office staff directly through the Process Patient Accounts routine in the MEDITECH B/AR module or via PCI.

Archiving and Scanning offers rapid batch scanning that is effective for use in high-volume areas like HIM / Medical Records. It allows the use of single or dual barcodes (such as account number and document name), which enables the system to detect barcoded information no matter where the information is placed on the document. Advanced data retrieval with full text search and annotation capabilities provides access to stored images even during downtimes.
