IatriConnect for RHIO's

For Health Information Exchange (HIE)


Iatric Systems developed the IatriConnect suite of products to meet the increasing demand for Health Information Exchanges (HIE). IatriConnect for RHIO's provides health systems the options of using a highly optimized HL7 interface product and/or an industry standard staging database to promote Health Information Exchange through Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIO) & other collaborative partnerships.

IatriConnect for RHIO's was designed to provide health systems an efficient, scalable and cost-effective solution that allows the organization to maintain data control and security, while insulating their core HIS from the potential demands of a Health Information Exchange.

IatriConnect for RHIO's consists of two primary components: IatriConnect HL7 and the IatriConnect Database. The components needed are typically dictated by the Health Information Exchange model being deployed.

IatriConnect HL7:

  • Highly optimized for the MEDITECH HCIS
  • Designed to minimize hospital IT support requirements
  • Delivers critical data sets from core MEDITECH modules
  • Includes ADT, LAB, MIC, BBK, PTH, DPT, RAD, ITS, EDM, NUR, PCS and PHA data
  • Option to send specific master table updates (Test, Providers, Facilities, etc.)
  • Proven to minimize impact on core HIS
  • Parameter driven in order to control shared data sets and enhance data compatibility
  • Sequenced Event Handling
  • Sophisticated interface monitoring via iAlert

IatriConnect Database:

  • Utilizes Microsoft SQL Server or other ANSI-92 SQL Databases by custom request (i.e. Oracle, DB2, Sybase)
  • Allows hospitals to maintain control of their data while providing access through industry standard tools
  • Results in predictable performance of data queries and allows for accurate capacity planning
  • Insulates the Core HCIS from the increased processing and network load of outside transactions related to HIE activities
  • Allows for Web Service Implementation
  • Provides additional benefits such as the use of industry standard report building tools for customized reporting or data aggregation
  • Provides pre-built library of highly optimized stored procedures for querying data
