Pain Reassessment
Does your hospital struggle with managing pain reassessment? If so, you're not alone. In a recent Iatric Updates newsletter survey, 66% of responders
indicated they are *not* happy with their hospital's process. The other 34% indicated they would like to see improvements to their process.
Additionally, 67% of responders indicated that nurses have no reminder whatsoever and must rely on their memory to reassess patients' pain. Others cited a variety of cues ranging from running reports to flags on certain user screens. However, these sites also noted that existing cues are used sporadically at best.
Well, we have good news for you! Iatric Systems recently developed a solution that enables hospitals to automate the pain reassessment process.
The system automatically notifies users with visual and/or audible alerts whenever patients' pain reassessments are due. Our solution also ties the NUR reassessment with the PHA medication that was administered, thereby providing proof that the correct medication and dose administered were reassessed, as required by Joint Commission
You can see Pain Reassessment in action at our booth during the Welcome Reception on Wed at 5:30pm and on Fri afternoon at 1:00pm. Or visit the "Nursing & Pharmacy Solutions" corner of our booth.
